Between the Notes: A Night of Jazz on Vinyl returns to The Cellar May 15th with an absolute legend of the CT DJ scene. You simply cannot discuss vinyl nights in this state without talking about our guest selector - Eric Otero, producer, DJ, and sound space curator. Otero has been at it for 19 years, providing the backing track to some of the most epic nights CT has seen. From intimate private parties to spinning for thousands in Bushnell Park, Eric always brings his A game.
For this month’s event, he’s joining resident selector Lovejoy for an exploration into smooth jazz. This often under-appreciated sub genre of jazz will be highlighted with records from George Benson, Boney James, Sade, Vandross, Jeff Lorber and more. Join us as we take you on a smooth journey into the backbone of modern house, RNB and Neo-soul.
